Supported Independent Living (SIL) - Ndis Provider Giving The Key's To Their Clients

Table of Contents

If you love living independently but also require some form of support, Supported Independent Living maybe your best fit.

SIL is a kind of support we offer through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to help you live independently or with other people who also live with a disability. We will offer you access to a trained staff who can visit throughout the day or stay overnight depending on the level of support you require. SIL is best suited for participants who are over 18 years old that require a significant amount of assistance throughout the day.

Services that are offered through SIL include but are not limited to;

  • Laundry and cleaning
  • Cooking and feeding
  • Personal care e.g. bathing and dressing
  • Support going out or shopping
  • Taking medication
  • Engaging in a suitable hobby

You can receive all these supports comfortably at home. Although paying of rent, home modifications and day to day living expenses like food is not inclusive.

However, SIL can benefit you whether you live on your own or in a shared accommodation with other NDIS participants. You are guaranteed that you are surrounded by support workers who know and understand your needs. If you perhaps share accommodation with others, there could be an opportunity of reduced cost for rent and electricity by splitting. There’s also a chance to learn new skills and explore other activities.

Let us help create your HOME SWEET HOME.
