Camping at Port Macquarie.

EVENTS

We had a great camping expedition at Port Macquarie.

The NDMHS team does not hesitate in dishing out premium fun to clients. We went on a four-day trip to Port Macquarie and camped for three nights; bearing in mind that camping is one of the ways of building and maintaining relationships and connections.

Port Macquarie is a coastal town in the local government area of Port Macquarie-Hastings, located on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. This destination is known for its extensive beaches, waterways, and lush rainforest. It’s also famous for its award-winning restaurants and wineries, having the highest Koala population, and a place for family-friendly holidays and fun.

On this journey, we played different multicultural music our clients preferably wanted. Our spirits were high while we anticipated our first-night camping. We stopped midway for a lunch break. The clients and support workers jointly set up the tents as we got to the campground.

By the 2nd day, we were gradually getting acclimatized to the environment. Everyone woke up energetic, showered, and did their morning care themselves. After breakfast, we engaged in various fun activities like playing sequence and tennis ball. We also divided ourselves into teams, played cricket against each other, and visited the pool to have some good swims. After dinner, we went on a dolphin watch on a sunset cruise and had ice cream. We went to the beachside, tried to socialize and bond more, and played sequence, Uno, and connect 4.

The third day started well as we had our breakfast, swam in the pool, and went to a maze. We divided ourselves into two groups because we wanted the maze race to be as fun as possible. We finished and returned to our campsite, played cricket, played catch with a tennis ball, and beach volleyball. For dinner, we ordered takeaway food, and all sat around the table to enjoy the meal, gisting and cracking some jokes. We went for a walk by the beachside yet again, and by this time, we had gradually started going into sleep mode and had to go to bed.

Finally, like any other last day, the 4th and final day came with mixed emotions as we didn’t want the fun to end. However, we still had to absorb the last moments and have breakfast together. We then went for a jet boat cruise, walked by the beach, and the van, from where we headed back to Sydney. On our way home, we stopped by a scenic lookout because the mood was cheerless, and we didn’t just feel like leaving. Here, we did some meditation and continued our journey back home while playing card games and some good music to liven the mood.
